River Trail

There is a walking trail
a few blocks from
my house along a river.
There was so much
snow and rain this
year, the river is
twice the usual size.

SERIOUSLY!?

Are you kidding me?

I planted this poppy last Fall,

but didn't know exactly

what it would look like.

When it opened,

I was shocked.

I've never seen another

poppy like it.

It's such a beautiful,

bright, almost

fluorescent magenta.

I never knew

poppies could even

come in this color.

We sort of inherited
this toy poodle from
my mother-in-law.
It matches the rug
and LOOK, I recently
painted my office
floor eggshell blue!
