Peshwari Sweet Rolls

I created this
sweet roll recipe
inspired by
Peshwari naan
for Valentine's
Day. They are
also vegan,
gluten-free
and lower carb
than most
sweet rolls.

Deilig Lunch

Very "deilig"
vegan lunch,
most wonderful
salad and
sandwiches,
today with
Carrie, Rebekah
and Teagan.

Sheep Dog

Is it a sheep
or a dog?
A sheep dog!
Actually, it's
Tinkerbell,
a toy poodle
on visit from
mother-in-law's.

Pizza

Delicious
homemade
Pizza.
Vegan,
Gluten-free,
too!
Before the
"cheese."

After the
"cheese"
has melted
on top.
Used Bob's
Red Mill

for the
gluten-free
crust.
Toppings:
roasted
red peppers,
sun-dried
tomatoes,
mushrooms,
olives,
artichoke
hearts,
and rice
cheese

"Garfield House" Salad

I've had numerous
people tell me
this was the best
salad they ever ate.

Dressing Ingredients:
3 C small button mushrooms
1 C hemp seeds
1/2 C cashews
1/2 C sun-dried tomatoes
1 C roasted sweet peppers
3-4 T olive oil
3/4 C cooking sherry
1-2 T white pepper
1-2 T Paprika
1 t Mrs. Dash's Southwest Chipotle seasoning
2 t Italian seasoning
1-2 T fresh garlic

Salad Ingredients:
Spring Greens
Artichoke Hearts
Olives, black or green
1-2 Avocados diced

Directions:
First, sauté dressing ingredients.
Cook until cashews are tender.

Remove from heat and put in
salad bowl, chill in refrigerator
for 30-45 minutes. Don't let the
sauce get too cold, you just don't
want it to be warm as it will
make the lettuce wilt.

Once it has cooled, add your
choice of greens, I prefer a
spring greens mix. Add artichoke hearts,
olives (I prefer green, but used
black as most of my family doesn't
like green olives), 1-2 avocados diced.
Mix thoroughly.

Guest Bedroom

This was the
guest bedroom
in our old house.
I painted the
bathroom floor
a glossy dark
blue-green
oil paint.
And painted the
little bookshelf
on the left,
which had been
white.

Adorable Bookshelf Renewal

I inherited this
adorable bookshelf
from my friend
David, who
was taking a
year-long
sabbatical in
So. America
and Germany.
Decided to
repaint it,
as it needed
freshening up.
Forgot to take
"before" photo,
so I took
one midway.

As I was
painting,
it occurred
to me
that it
looked better
with just
one coat
of paint and
the brush
strokes
showing a
tiny bit
of the old
white below.

The final
product.

Snow

Too
much
snow.

Quail

Quail
in my
front
yard.

Stepping Stones

There used
to be a
depression
where the
grass had
sunk between
the sidewalk
and the street.
I found some
broken concrete
and filled it
to create this
lovely walkway.
